🌟 VIP Sacred Valley Tour – Full Day Itinerary (Chinchero, Moray, Maras, Ollantaytambo & Pisac)
📍 Pick-up time: Between 6:50 AM and 7:00 AM from your hotel in Cusco.
Once the group is complete, we’ll begin our journey through the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas.
🗺️ Itinerary:
1️⃣ Chinchero
Our first stop is Chinchero, a picturesque Andean town. Here, you will see:
Inca agricultural terraces
The remains of the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui
A stunning colonial church built on Inca foundations
A live demonstration of traditional Andean textile techniques, from washing and spinning the wool to creating beautiful handwoven textiles.
2️⃣ Moray
Next, we visit Moray, known for its impressive circular agricultural terraces. These natural depressions were used by the Incas as an experimental farming center to study crops at different altitudes and microclimates.
3️⃣ Maras Salt Mines (Salineras)
We continue to the Salt Mines of Maras, where you’ll witness a fascinating natural salt extraction process that dates back to Inca times. The landscape of over 3,000 salt pools cascading down the mountainside is truly unique.
4️⃣ Urubamba – Buffet Lunch
We head to the town of Urubamba where a delicious buffet lunch at a local tourist restaurant awaits you. Here you can enjoy a variety of Peruvian dishes in a relaxed atmosphere.
5️⃣ Ollantaytambo
After lunch, we explore the ancient Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, strategically built to guard the Sacred Valley against jungle tribes. It’s also known as a “living Inca town” where traditional architecture and culture are still preserved.
6️⃣ Pisac – Archaeological Site and Viewpoint
On our return journey, we make a final stop at Pisac, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the valley and visit the Pisac archaeological site, famous for its impressive agricultural terraces, ceremonial structures, and stonework.
